Freshly collected honey bee semen is available from Latshaw Apiaries May through September, weather permitting. Semen is available in 100 microliter tubes and can be shipped worldwide depending on local import regulations. A single 100 microliter tube of honey bee semen contains a diversified sample of genetic stock. An advantage of honey bee semen is that it can be stored at room temperature for an extended period of time without substantial loss of viability.
