For this reason, the importation of live bees is prohibited. To improve the quality of their stock, Hawaiian Queen Company decided to use instrumental insemination in their breeding program. This operation is continuously making improvements and spending time with the bees to insure a quality product. Below is a picture of Michael in the foreground "catching" queens to fill one of their many orders received each season.
