Production Queens (Naturally/Open Mated Queens)

The primary focus of Latshaw Apiaries is the production of instrumentally inseminated breeder queens, however I receive inquiries from beekeepers asking where they can purchase production queens from my stock.  Please note, I do offer a very limited number of production queens for sale from my apiary when they are available.  I do not contend with the weather for the production of queens!  I can provide an estimated shipping date, but I will only ship queens when they are ready to be shipped.  I appreciate you patience and understanding, and I think you will be pleased with the quality of the queens! In addition, this year I will offer unmated/virgin queens on a preorder basis.  The sale of virgin queens is an older practice, but has steadily been regaining popularity as beekeepers become more interested in obtaining quality stock at an affordable price.  In addition, there is an increasing number of beekeepers who use instrumental insemination and this provides a great opportunity to introduce new stock! Please note: Virgin queens are more difficult to introduce than mated queens.
